Joe Kirmser is CEO of PremiStar, a leader in commercial HVAC, mechanical services and building automation solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. Founded in 1930 as Reedy Industries, PremiStar today employs more than 1,200 people, including over 900 field-based technicians. Since joining the company in 2019, Joe has created and overseen the implementation of a new business strategy that resulted in a 250% increase in revenues, a 300% increase in EBITDA, and 20 acquisitions that have expanded the company’s footprint throughout the Midwest and also entering the Mountain West, Southwest and Southeast regions.

Previously, Joe was CEO of QSI Facilities, a leader in national outsourced facilities services based in Wichita, Kansas, with over 300 employees. Under Joe’s leadership, QSI more than doubled revenues and tripled EBITDA. Key components of this growth were a comprehensive repositioning of the company as well as completion of four accretive acquisitions within an 18-month period. QSI was acquired by Cushman Wakefield (NYSE: CWK) in January 2019, at which time Joe chose to remain in the private equity space, leading to his current role at PremiStar.

Before joining the world of private equity, Joe developed his sales, marketing, operations and senior leadership skills working for publicly traded companies. He served as president of Lenel Systems, a division of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX) from 2010 through 2013. Lenel is the world’s largest integrated enterprise video and access control company, serving over 90% of the Fortune 500 and global education, government, commercial, and industrial institutions.

Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University where he was a four-year starter on the varsity men’s lacrosse team. During his time at Duke, the team won its first ACC title in 1995 and made its first appearance in the Final Four in 1997. He was a two-time All-American selection as well as an Academic All-American as a senior. Joe earned an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Babson College, where he graduated cum laude.

Andy Klemm is CFO of PremiStar. He works in tandem with the CEO, COO, and board of directors on management and execution of the company’s aggressive growth strategy. He is responsible for administrative, financial, risk management, and information technology operations of the company. He provides leadership and direction of the finance and accounting and information technology teams; manages financial forecasting, analytics, and budgeting processes across all divisions; and supervises due diligence and negotiations for acquisitions.

Andy brings over 20 years of experience across a variety of financial and operational disciplines to his role as CFO. Prior to joining PremiStar in April 2021, he was CFO of ENTACT, a company that performs environmental remediation and geotechnical construction services. In that role, Andy was responsible for administrative, financial, risk management, information technology, and human resources operations of the company. Previously, Andy was CFO of AGRO Merchants Group, a private equity-backed company in the cold storage and warehouse distribution industry with 15 operational business units globally and 2,300 employees. He had leadership responsibility for global and regional finance, accounting, and risk management.

Andy got his start in operational finance at SPX FLOW, a publicly traded global supplier of engineered products and process solutions for multiple industries. During his tenure there, his financial and management skills were recognized with increasing responsibilities at both the divisional and corporate levels. From 2010 to 2013, Andy served in general manager and CFO roles both in Europe and the US for SPX FLOW.

Andy began his career in 1998 at Arthur Andersen and is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in both accounting and management information systems from Illinois State University.

Sarah Clarin is the Chief Human Resources Officer of PremiStar, where she leads the development of an enterprise-wide HR and talent strategy to support the company’s aggressive growth. Partnering with the senior leadership team, she is focused on accelerating how to attract, develop, and engage talent to provide critical support to customers in reducing maintenance costs, optimizing asset performance, and improving energy efficiency. Building on over a century of the organization attracting the best talent, Sarah will lead the build-out of a talent pipeline that will reshape the future of technician workforce availability.

Previously, Sarah served as Chief HR Officer at SunSource in Addison, IL, where she developed the HR strategy and infrastructure to support over $1 billion in acquisitions. This included creating a multi-channel talent acquisition strategy, launching the SunSource University for training, and establishing best practices in talent management, benefits, compensation, and acquisition diligence and integration. She launched her career at Hendrickson International, where she gained experience in establishing HR best practices across the enterprise and became deeply engaged in employee relations and recruitment. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Elmhurst University in 2004 and an MBA in leadership and change management from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University in 2009. Additionally, she has completed the University of Michigan Advanced HR Executive program. Sarah is engaged in the local community and serves on the Board of Trustees at Elmhurst University.

Mike Manke is the CIO of PremiStar, responsible for developing the strategy and delivery of information technology capabilities to the enterprise. As CIO, he partners with the executive leadership team, key stakeholders and the board of directors to ensure the technology footprint delivers the necessary capabilities to not only run the business but support the digital transformation of PremiStar.

Mike brings over 25 years of experience across multiple industries and geographies to provide a unique perspective on how to use technology as a catalyst for change. Prior to joining PremiStar, Mike spent five years with Stericycle as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Architecture, Digital and Innovation where he helped lead a major ERP business transformation and several other key strategic technology advancements. Throughout his career he has aided companies like Baxter, Cardinal Healthcare, W.W. Grainger, Olin and Duracell in the definition, pursuit, and implementation of groundbreaking technologies.

Mike graduated from Illinois State University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in management and quantitative methods with a focus on information systems.

Mike Harris is SVP for commercial development at PremiStar, responsible for go-to-market strategy and organic growth initiatives across all divisions, including sales and marketing programs, partnerships, and pricing. He also supports the integration of newly acquired companies to accelerate growth.

An accomplished growth leader in the facilities, energy efficiency, technology, and manufacturing industries, Mike has a consistent track record of driving organic and inorganic growth and profit improvement in both public companies and private equity-backed businesses.

Prior to Joining Reedy in early 2021, Mike was president of Trustview Advisors, a consulting firm devoted to helping companies in the facilities and technology services industry develop and implement growth strategies. Previously, he was president of Industrial Water Solutions for Lindsay Corporation, where he had P&L responsibility for $80M in annual revenues from water filtration and engineered-to-order pumping solutions from industrial, commercial, and municipal customers. From 2002 to 2013, Mike was vice president and general manager for Johnson Controls, where he led several organizations with up to $700M in revenues in both North America and Asia-Pacific that provided technology, services, and financing solutions for industrial, commercial, and public-sector building owners and operators.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electric engineering from California State University, Fresno, where he graduated magna cum laude.

As Vice President of Operations, Mike Elter has responsibility for platform-wide value creation and delivery across regional divisions. In collaboration with the executive leadership team, Mike will ensure the evolution and implementation of all operational activities to support PremiStar’s buy and build, market densification strategy.

Prior to joining PremiStar, Mike spent over 35 years in the vertical transportation industry gaining extensive experience in P&L, operations, project management, sales, marketing, safety and employee development.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Davenport University in 2002 and his master’s degree in business administration from University of Detroit Mercy in 2011.

As VP of mergers and acquisitions at PremiStar, CJ Folden is responsible for developing and managing the company’s inorganic growth strategy. He identifies regional target markets, sources acquisition candidates, and engages with owners to understand their financial goals, business objectives, culture, values, and market differentiation. CJ’s experience in leading a high-growth HVAC and mechanical services company, together with his strong background in finance and accounting, enable him to bring a seasoned perspective to the assessment of organizational fit and cultural alignment. He helps determine valuation and purchase price and supports negotiation through to LOI approval. CJ then manages the acquisition process from due diligence through to integration, ensuring that all timelines and deadlines are met. CJ has been instrumental in supporting the acquisition of seven companies throughout the Midwest and is currently managing an active pipeline of opportunities for expansion to other regions of the US.

Previously, CJ was the president and owner of First Point Mechanical, which was acquired by PremiStar in 2019. Prior to acquisition, CJ doubled revenues over a four-year period, growing the company from 15 to 40 technicians. His prior experience includes roles as CFO for an $80M design/build services and controls contractor and a $50M sheet metal contractor specializing in tenant buildouts.

CJ earned a master’s degree in accounting finance from Northern Illinois University.

Jack Deichl has served as president of PremiStar since 2000. Jack has led the transformation of PremiStar into one of the leading HVAC and mechanical services companies in the Midwest. Jack’s customer-focused approach and hands-on management style have been instrumental in leading and developing talent from within and driving adherence to the company’s values. His deep knowledge of the industry and marketplace have been key to the company’s successful strategy for organic growth, integration of acquisitions, and expansion of service offerings.

Jack has spent his entire career in the HVAC, mechanical services, and building controls industry. Prior to joining Reedy, he enjoyed a successful, 17-year career at Honeywell, serving in various sales and management roles with increasing responsibility.

Jack holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Whitewater Hall of Fame and was a four-year letterman in both football and basketball while at the university. An avid sports fan, Jack has been actively involved in youth baseball and football leagues for many years in his hometown of Libertyville, Illinois.

Michael Moriarty is the Regional President of the South for PremiStar. He has over 25 years of experience as a proven leader in the building technology and energy services industries, bringing P&L, operations, sales and GM excellence in HVAC, electrical, O&M services and design-build construction in private and federal markets.

Prior to joining PremiStar, Michael was VP of Operations for ABM Industries, where he served as regional operations lead and most recently as part of the leadership team responsible for the start-up of a national PMO within the technical solutions business. Previously, Michael also worked for AECOM Power & Energy in the West as well as with McKinstry in the business unit and operations manager roles supporting the launch of an energy services business serving CA, AZ, and NV.

Michael’s extensive experience ranges from HVAC and electrical services, design-build of large complex district energy and renewable projects to leading and managing business units, sales, project management, design and estimating teams across the US.

As Regional President of South Businesses, Michael supports the CEO with developing and implementing the PremiStar vision and strategy through delivery of the highest standards of quality services to all our customers throughout the South. Michael’s experience and dedication to building businesses and supporting teams is instrumental in leading the growth, team success and customer satisfaction throughout the region.

Michael has a degree in computer science from Chapman University and holds electrical and general contractor licenses in CA and AZ. Michael is a US Navy veteran who also served in the 1st Gulf War.

Gerry Grilec is Group VP for PremiStar. He oversees the operations of Southwest Town Mechanical, Building Automation Solutions, Parkway, Airmasters, Artic, and Ruyle. Gerry opened the doors of Southwest Town under the ownership of TW Reedy in 1986, became President of South Town Refrigeration Corporation in 2006, and Group Vice President in 2019. His group has grown through the acquisition of 11 businesses over the last 5 years. Safety is

Gerry’s #1 priority, which is represented by the 5 National safety awards won by the Southwest Town/Parkway team presented by the MCAA/CAN. He has been Chairman of the Apprenticeship Education Committee for Local 597 since 2001.

Jeremy Cartee is group VP for Midwestern operations at PremiStar. He has P&L responsibility for the company’s integrated businesses in the greater Chicago area and oversees operations in Rockford, IL and Southern Wisconsin.

A skilled manager with a broad base of industry knowledge and keen problem-solving skills, Jeremy works with the sales, service, and construction departments to drive sales, manage timely project execution, and ensure the highest standards of customer service.

Throughout his 23-year career at PremiStar, Jeremy has been among the company’s top performers, consistently achieving double-digit improvements in revenue and margin growth year-over-year. His 27 years of industry experience, deep technical knowledge, strong team-building skills, and expertise in strategic account management have been instrumental in the company’s success.

Jeremy began his career in the HVAC industry by graduating from a 5-year union apprenticeship program.
